- May 22, 2019 Mixxx Review 2020 – Conclusion. Although there is still a lot of room for improvement, being an open source software gives Mixxx the advantage to explore a whole boatload of possibilities with each update, especially with developers working hand-in.
- The autolooping functions, altough implemented are quite flawed. The “loop one bar”, which is present since the 1.0b version, is making a loop between two bars, which are rarely fitted on real “measures”. As of mixxx 1.9, there is no possibility to adjust the bars to make them fit perfectly to the tempo.
- Aug 13, 2016 Here is how you make a music loop. You get a when flag clicked block then you get a play sound until done you attach it to when flag clicked block the you go to control and get a forever block you place it in front of the play sound until done block so it sort of extends under the sound block then when you click the flag.

According to the developers:
Mixxx 1.6.0 represents over a year’s worth of hard work from our growing development team. The development of 1.6.0 was been driven by continuous feedback from our users, the bulk of which began in May 2007 with our popular user survey. Since then, we’ve taken the features that people wanted the most and focused every effort on developing them. Needless to say, 1.6.0 is light-years ahead of 1.5.0, and our community’s continued appreciation for Mixxx has served as a strong motivator for us throughout its development.
